Valle dell’Acate opens the doors of its winery to enthusiasts who wish to discover the secrets
of the art of wine-making and immerse themselves in an enchanting atmosphere rich in history, tradition and culture.

The visit takes you on a journey through the winery’s own vineyards, witnesses to a work that has been
handed down through six generations.
It continues with the modern barrel and tonneaux cellar, where the wines of valle dell’Acate mature and age.

We then arrive at the old ‘palmento’, now a ‘wine museum’ housing a photographic exhibition by
Maurizio Cugnata: a place where time seems to have stopped.
The evocative stone architecture evokes the ancient peasant world, bringing back to life, in a bucolic
bucolic atmosphere the way wine was once made.
In the large room rest the Dal Negro presses that replaced the old ‘cianca’ used to
pressing of the grapes.

Tasting of 4 VALLE DELL’ACATE wines and lunch with typical local dishes in
paired with the wines. Menu description: ‘arancini’ and ‘focacce Ragusane’, ‘timballo di
pasta’ or “pasta alla norma”, “meatballs”, “Caponatina”, seasonal fruit and a typical Sicilian dessert.
